SCIENTIFIC DEPARTMENT | SECURITY DEPARTMENT | UTILITY & MAINTENANCE | HEALTH & SAFETY | MEDICAL DEPARTMENT | INTELLIGENCE AGENCY | ETHICS COMMITTEE | EXTERNAL RELATIONS | ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT |O5 COUNCIL
The Scientific Department is the second largest, right after the Security Department. They are tasked with performing tests on SCP subjects and logging results and findings to further the knowledge of the Foundation.
Existing under the Scientific Department for simplicity of filing, the Archives is a small division of Foundation staff that is tasked with the archival of articles, documents, and test logs for long-term storage.
The Security Department groups stationed at every Site and Foundation-connected area. They ensure the safety of non-combatives, and escort and supervise tests, often patrol the containment sectors.
Recontainment (RECON) units are on the front lines during breaches. They are equipped with special equipment that helps neutralize or tame threats in a safer manner than regular SD personnel.
Special Operations are a joint division between SD and MTF units. There are many different squads under the label of SO, each one specialized for a specific task. Groups of SO are often placed on larger sites for easier access to specialized reinforcement.
Utility & Maintenance is mostly comprised of engineers and electricians. They usually deal with replacement or repairing of equipment, and tend to restock things like vending machines and help Provisions when they're understaffed. U&M also helps create and test containment chambers.
Health & Safety is a rather domestic department within the Foundation, dealing with basic and low-leveled jobs.
Provisions staff work as chefs for cafeterias, cooking and ordering food supplies. They occasionally post outside of sectors in sites, working as vendors to sell snacks and small meals to passer-bys.
Janitorial staff are tasked with cleaning up all the messes within the Foundation, ranging from coffee spills to viscera and gore.
The Medical Department is in charge of healing all sorts of ailments from wounds to diseases. They have two official branches and their internal administration is known as the Medical Board, and consists of a few of the highest-ranking members in the department.
The Paramedic Division are the first responders of the Foundation, often accompanying MTF teams during breaches or raids. They tend to wear some sort of body armor so as to not get injured when healing combatives from the sidelines.
Whether the Psychology Department is actually its own department or not is uncertain, as it is often treated like its own and is large enough to be, but has high-ranking members from the Department in the Medical Board. The Psychology Department deals with any and all ailments and treatments relating to the mind and mental states.
The intelligence agency has three branches, along with its administrative branch. The only publicly known branch of these is the Field Agency, which is typically assumed to be its own department. The other two branches are only known by the Ethics Committee and Internal Security.
Internal Affairs keeps an eye on personnel, making sure no rules are being broken and that the Code of Ethics is being followed. They also deal with making sure that there are no spies or moles from Groups of Interest.
External Affairs deals with GoIs. They have two main functions. The first is to ensure that allied GoIs don't break any promises or truces signed with the Foundation. The second is to infiltrate hostile GoIs and gather information, objects, or documents. EA helps to predict and prepare for raids.
As mentioned before, the Field Agency is the only publicly known IA branch and is also the largest. Considered the "eyes and ears" of the Foundation. Has three sub-divisions of its own, all for dealing with GoI, PoI, and anomalous incidents, objects, entities, and places.
Internal Security members are handpicked from other combatant teams and from high-ranking Field Agents. They deal with the termination of staff who know more than they're supposed to, and escort and guard personnel to briefings that regard extremely sensitive or classified information. They're often the ones posted at security checkpoints.
The Ethics Committee created and deals with the upkeep of the Code of Ethics. They work closely with the IA to identify the specifics about CoE infractions. When infractions occur, they notify Executive. They will spectate tests, check-ups, and interviews to ensure the following of the CoE. Any disscussion deemed an ethics issue is handed over to the EC for them to discuss and decide on.
External Relations is a small, highly ranked, diplomatic group that deals with conferences with different GoIs, manage alliances, and negotiate truces.
The Administrative Department is divided into two branches, one being the main Administrative branch and the other being the Executive branch. Administration staff are only picked from personnel that are at least L-4. They have a similar job to the O5, approving or denying requests as they see fit. Anything that causes enough conflict within the department or is deemed important enough is sent to the O5. Anything deemed an ethics issue is sent to the EC.
The Executive Department deals with giving out consequences to breaking of rules, recieving reports from the EC. They also function as record-keepers, recording infractions and consequences carried out for each personnel.
The Overseer Council goes by many names, the most common of which being a shortened, O5 Council. They are the second highest rank that can be received in the Foundation, and there are only ever thirteen of them at a time. Each of them specialize in their own area, such as research, archival, or security. Most members of the Foundation do not know that the O5 exist. They function in as much secrecy as possible, and carry out most big decisions by vote.

That's what they want you to believe, anyway. Me, personally? I wouldn't trust them like that.
